Note: The description and images are of Eastern Wood Pigeon, which is a asian subspecies of European Wood Pigeon.
Distribution. The present bird replaces the European Wood-Pigeon in south Persia and Turkestan; in Afghanistan, Baluchistan at comparatively low elevations, and the whole of the north-west Himalayas. It is common in Kashmir, but is rare in Tibet.
There seems to be nothing in this bird's habits calling for special remark, these being exactly the same as those of its European relation.
